Sarang House, located in a small rural province in China, first opened its doors in the summer of 2003, with the mission to provide a safe and happy home to orphaned children.

What began as a small, independently run orphanage housing 5 mentally and physically disabled children is now nurturing and caring for 50 children from the locality and the surrounding province.

With a director and full-time staff, Sarang House is a community that is able to provide long-term care and rehabilitation to children in need, fostering them to become confident, positive and productive contributors to society.

Ignis Community has been sending a team of volunteers to Sarang House every summer since 2006.

*Sarang House is no longer under the leadership of Ignis, but continues to operate under another group as of 2016.
