SHOE Project

In 2010, the Rajin shoe factory was started in North Korea, in an effort to create a working environment for local men and women while initiating a snow boot donation to children throughout the country to combat the harsh winters.

With the help of the Korea Education Fund (KEF), a North Korean NGO, and in partnership with generous donors, our on-site field team has distributed snow boots to orphanages, kindergartens, and schools throughout the country. There are verification trips that are made every year in order to ensure that the children received their snow boots. Through our annual campaign, over 82,000 pairs of snow boots have been delivered to the North Korean children since 2010.
