What type of organization is IGNIS Community?

Ignis Community is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Tax ID #82-1680719). In compliance with government guidelines, no good or services are received in exchange for the amounts listed as a charitable contribution on donation receipts. We are registered as a non-profit organization under the State of Texas and all donations will be tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

How are the funds used or distributed by IGNIS?

We streamline the giving process by offering donors a secure and efficient way to support our projects with online donations. Donors select a project that interests them and pick a particular item to add to the gift basket. We aggregate the project donations and use the funds to directly support the projects you have chosen. IGNIS Community is all about transparency. We encourage our donors to contact us for status updates on how your funds were used. You can always sign up for our newsletters and/or email us at give@igniscommunity.org

All contributions are made with the understanding that we have complete control and administration over the use of the donated funds. Spending of funds is confined to official board approved programs and projects. Each contribution directed toward an approved program or project will be used as restricted with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason as determined by the official board, the remaining restricted contributions will be used where most needed.

When and where can I receive my annual tax receipt?

All tax receipts are given out by January 31st of the following year and/or upon request by emailing give@igniscommunity.org. You can also access your tax summary by logging into your Kindful account at https://igniscommunity.kindful.com/users/sign_in. All donations will be included in the giving summary if the donations were given before December 31 by 11:59PM of the giving year. Anything after December 31 will reflect on the following years summary.
