Joy Yoon, IGNIS Community’s co-founder and international director was recently interviewed by PBS News Hour among with many other non-profit organizations that are doing humanitarian work in North Korea.

The news covers the issue how sanctions has greatly affected the good work that non-profit organizations has done within the nation. As much as we comply to the laws of the local government as well as international, we should not forget that there are people who are in need of our service and help - children like Oo-Ein, a quadriplegic who now walks after long period of therapy and treatment.

We recognize and acknowledge the political tensions, but our hope is that for IGNIS and other non-profits to continue the good work that has started long ago - to become bridges that cultivate relationships by sharing love to our neighbors.
